Metal coatings for your component’s application requirements.
Electroplating uses an electrochemical process to deposit a metallic coating on a suitable substrate. Depending on the coating and application, it may improve appearance, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity or other specified surface properties.
The substrate material, component geometry and coating requirements influence processing options and feasibility. Please provide component photographs, the substrate, specified coating type, coating thickness requirements, dimensions and quantity for an initial assessment and quotation.

Essential information for an electroplating quotation
- Substrate type and material grade
- Specified coating type — for example nickel, chromium, zinc, copper, tin, gold, silver or another specified coating
- Coating thickness and relevant specifications, if applicable
- Component dimensions, drawings and photographs
- Processing quantity
- Appearance, corrosion resistance, conductivity or other functional requirements
These coatings are reference options to help you describe your requirements; they do not mean that KUN-QI has confirmed acceptance of every coating type. Processing feasibility and quotations are subject to assessment.
Electropolishing
Refine suitable metal surfaces for an improved finish.
Electropolishing selectively removes small amounts of metal through electrochemical action to improve surface smoothness and finish on suitable components.
Results depend on the material, initial surface condition, component geometry and processing requirements. If you have requirements relating to roughness, appearance or subsequent use, please submit the relevant details for a feasibility assessment.

Surface Restoration
Assess the potential for improving and re-treating existing components.
Manufacture, processing and service can leave metal components with discolouration, localised marks, oxidation or other appearance issues.
Surface restoration enquiries begin with the component’s current condition and the improvement sought. We assess an appropriate treatment approach. Different materials and conditions may require different methods, and not every surface issue can be restored to its original condition.
Please provide clear component photographs, material details, the current surface condition and the desired outcome for an initial processing feasibility assessment.

For electroplating, the specified coating type is essential. Please also include coating thickness, appearance requirements and any relevant specifications. - 03Dimensions and quantity
- Provide dimensions, drawings, the proposed processing quantity and whether the enquiry concerns samples or batch production.
